Your Phemex account
is blocked?
Phemex publishes nine named grounds for suspending an account, and one of them is simply not answering an investigation notice. Knowing which of the nine you are in decides whether this is a wait, a correction or a case.

Select what matches your situation
The account is otherwise normal.
Withdrawal restricted
A recent security change has restricted withdrawals for 24 hours.
What it means
Phemex applies a 24-hour withdrawal restriction after changing or resetting the account password, disabling or resetting Google Authenticator, and disabling the new-address withdrawal lock.
What Phemex requires
Nothing beyond the 24 hours.
Your first step
Do not set up anything else during the window. Setting up a passkey for the first time carries its own 24-hour suspension.

The nine grounds Phemex names
Phemex publishes these as its reasons for suspending an account. They are not all equally serious, and two of them are about conduct rather than identity.
Abuse of the system
Phemex names batch account registration, profiting from market manipulation, self-trading, wash trades and abnormal transactions together as one ground.
A hacked or compromised account
Phemex states it suspends accounts as a preventative measure where its security team suspects they are being targeted. This is protection, not accusation.
Fraudulent verification
Using another person's or entity's identification information, or using false or forged identification, is a named ground.
Money laundering or terrorist financing concerns
Phemex names accounts suspected of violating anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing regulations, and separately, accounts subject to a law enforcement request.
Refusal to cooperate with an investigation
Phemex lists refusing to cooperate after receiving its investigation notice as its own ground for suspension. An unanswered notice becomes the reason.
Phemex also names market manipulation and insider trading, any direct or indirect violation of its Terms of Use, and abnormal account activities — for which it says it may limit specific functions rather than suspend the account outright.
5 things that will make the situation worse
Do not ignore an investigation notice
Refusal to cooperate after receiving one is on Phemex's own list of grounds for suspension, alongside forged identification and market manipulation.
Do not stack security changes
A password change, an authenticator reset, disabling the new-address withdrawal lock and setting up a passkey each carry a 24-hour restriction.
Do not disable the new-address withdrawal lock to move funds faster
Disabling it is itself one of the actions that triggers the 24-hour restriction, so it costs a day and removes a protection.
Do not write from a different email address
Phemex asks for contact from the address associated with the account, and anything else adds an identification problem to the case.
Do not use someone else's identification to pass verification
Using another person's or entity's identification information, or false or forged identification, is one of the nine named grounds for suspension.
Phemex strictly prohibits any form of insider trading or attempt to manipulate the market.

What to check first on Phemex
Look for a countdown, not an explanation
Three security actions carry an automatic 24-hour restriction, and so does setting up a passkey for the first time.
Check whether the ban is on the account or the function
Phemex separates limiting specific functions from suspending the account, and the routes out are different.
Reply to any investigation notice
Refusal to cooperate after one is issued is a named ground for suspension in its own right.
Have the transaction details ready
Phemex asks for the UID, the coin or token, the network, the amount and the timeframe when a withdrawal question is raised.
What Phemex may ask you for
Phemex's published requirements are about identifying the transaction and the account holder, and it is specific about both.
The account UID
Phemex asks for it first when a withdrawal question is raised, ahead of any description of the problem.
The coin or token, network, amount and timeframe
The four details Phemex lists alongside the UID for a withdrawal enquiry.
Contact from the registered email address
Phemex states that where the account or withdrawal function is banned, contact should come from the email address associated with the account for compliance reasons.
Verification at the level that carries your limit
The 24-hour withdrawal ceiling corresponds to the account's KYC level.
Whatever the compliance team's instructions specify
For a ban, Phemex directs the account holder to follow the instructions its compliance team sends by email.
Phemex publishes one processing time and no review times: withdrawals are normally completed within 15 minutes, while no timeframe is given for a suspension review. This page does not supply one.

When was your account blocked?
What we actually do
Place the case against the nine grounds
They are published and they are different from each other. Three are about conduct, two about identity, one about not replying.
From: compliance@phemex.com
Your account flagged for suspicious activity. Please complete KYC verification.
Separate a timed restriction from a ban
Both stop a withdrawal. Only one of them ends by itself, and confusing them wastes the day that mattered.
Assemble the transaction identifiers
UID, coin, network, amount, timeframe. Phemex asks for exactly those, and a message without them starts a round trip.

Draft the reply to an investigation notice
This is the ground where the answer itself is the deciding factor, so it is the one worth preparing carefully.
Say when a ground closes the door
Forged identification and confirmed manipulation are not cases we take. We will tell you that rather than sell a process around them.
The decision is always the exchange's. What we control is that your case reaches it complete, correct and on time.
