Your MEXC account
is blocked?
MEXC publishes a default of twenty-four hours for a risk-control restriction, and reserves the right to extend it indefinitely. It also publishes the one route out that most exchanges do not: a withdrawal appeal for users who cannot complete verification at all.
We are not employees of MEXC. Independent consulting.

Account under risk control
Some functions on this account are currently limited.
What it means
MEXC states that restricted accounts face suspended trading and platform services, withdrawal and deposit limitations, forced liquidation procedures and, in the worst case, permanent account closure.
What MEXC requires
Advanced KYC completed, plus the additional documentation MEXC asks for — it names both as key requirements for lifting a risk-control restriction.
Your first step
Use the account risk review channel rather than a general ticket. MEXC publishes the path: Help Center then Account Risk Review, from the web footer or from the app.

What MEXC says triggers risk control
MEXC groups its triggers by where the behaviour appears rather than by severity, and reserves a broad discretion on top of the list.
Futures activity on an unverified account
MEXC names accounts with incomplete or pending advanced identity verification, and suspected automated trading without authorisation, among the anomalies that start a futures review.
Spot activity: verification and market conduct
Non-compliance with identity verification and participation in pump-and-dump schemes are both named as spot-market grounds.
Sanctions, laundering patterns and asset provenance
MEXC lists association with sanctioned entities, money-laundering patterns and illicit sources of assets as legal grounds for a review.
Market-integrity concerns around a listing
Undisclosed affiliations with token issuers and suspicious deposit activity around listings are named separately from ordinary trading anomalies.
Anything else, at MEXC's judgement
The guideline reserves an absolute right to start risk-control procedures on detection of any circumstance that may, in MEXC's reasonable judgement, constitute a violation. The list above is not closed.
MEXC states that most restrictions remain in effect for twenty-four hours, and in the same sentence reserves the right to shorten, extend or impose them permanently. It also states that no details of its internal risk-control mechanisms or review processes may be disclosed for security reasons, and that the duration or outcome of a review cannot be guaranteed.
5 things that will make the situation worse
Do not trust anyone offering an unfreezing service
MEXC's own guidance on this is direct, and it is published in the same material as the appeal route: do not trust third parties offering account unfreezing services.
Do not file the withdrawal appeal without understanding the cost
MEXC states that once it is approved the account retains only withdrawal and position-closing permissions and all other features become unavailable.
Do not assume the appeal documents count as verification
MEXC states the identity documents submitted for the appeal do not count toward completing KYC; they serve only the appeal review.
Do not plan around twenty-four hours
It is MEXC's stated default and it is stated together with the right to extend the restriction or make it permanent.
Do not expect an explanation of the trigger
MEXC states that no details of its internal risk-control mechanisms or review processes may be disclosed for security reasons. A case built on getting that explanation will not go anywhere.
Most restrictions shall remain in effect for twenty-four (24) hours; provided, however, that MEXC reserves the right to shorten, extend, or impose such restrictions on a permanent basis.

What to check first on MEXC
Find the account risk review channel
MEXC publishes it in two places: Help Center then Account Risk Review from the web footer, or Home, More, Services, Help Center, Account Risk Review in the app.
Complete advanced verification
MEXC states that completing advanced KYC and providing additional documentation are key requirements for lifting a restriction.
Decide whether the appeal form applies to you
It exists for users who cannot complete KYC, and it costs every account function except withdrawing and closing positions.
Assemble documentation of the questioned activity
MEXC asks for comprehensive documentation regarding the trading activity in question, which is a different thing from an identity check.
What MEXC may ask you for
The risk-control guideline is deliberately unspecific about documents; the withdrawal appeal form is the opposite, and lists exactly three things.
A valid government-issued identity document
For the withdrawal appeal, MEXC names a passport, an ID card or a driver's licence.
A video of you holding the document
MEXC asks for video proof showing the applicant holding their identity document together with the withdrawal application paper.
The withdrawal application itself
Handwritten or printed on white paper, and shown in the video alongside the identity document.
Advanced verification, to lift a restriction
Separate from the appeal. MEXC names completing advanced KYC and providing additional documentation as the requirements for lifting a risk-control restriction.
Documentation of the trading activity in question
MEXC asks for comprehensive documentation regarding the questioned activity, rather than a description of it.
One timeframe is published and one is not. MEXC states reviewers are expected to complete the withdrawal-appeal document review within one to two business days. For a risk-control review it states the opposite — that the duration and the outcome cannot be guaranteed.

When was your account blocked?
What we actually do
Work out which MEXC process you are in
A risk-control review, a verification tier and a withdrawal appeal are three different things with three different routes.
From: compliance@mexc.com
Your account flagged for suspicious activity. Please complete KYC verification.
Reconstruct the activity that triggered it
MEXC will not say what tripped the system, so the reconstruction has to come from your own trading record.
Prepare the appeal package correctly
Identity document, the video holding it with the application paper, and the application itself. A missing element restarts the one-to-two-day review.

DON'T

Document the questioned trading properly
Comprehensive documentation is what MEXC asks for, and assembling it is most of the work in these cases.
Be honest about what cannot be promised
MEXC states the duration and the outcome of a review cannot be guaranteed. Anyone telling you otherwise is contradicting the exchange.
The decision is always the exchange's. What we control is that your case reaches it complete, correct and on time.
