Your Bitget account
is blocked?
Bitget lists seven reasons assets show as frozen, and four of them are ordinary mechanics rather than a restriction. Ruling those out first is what tells you whether you have a problem at all.

Select what matches your situation
The documents went in and nothing has changed yet.
Verification pending
Withdrawals are restricted until your verification is approved.
What it means
Bitget states that where a KYC application has been submitted, withdrawals remain restricted until it is approved, and that approval typically takes 24 hours.
What Bitget requires
Nothing further, inside that window.
Your first step
Note the submission time. 24 hours is the number Bitget publishes, and it is the difference between waiting and escalating.

The seven causes Bitget names
Bitget groups them in its own help centre. Only the last two involve anyone looking at your account.
Verification that is incomplete, or a regulatory hold
Bitget names incomplete KYC verification and regulatory holds as its first group. Where verification has been submitted but not approved, it states approval typically takes 24 hours and that withdrawals stay restricted until it completes.
The balance is committed elsewhere
Limit and stop-limit orders in spot and futures, copy-trading allocations, P2P sell orders and advertisements, and Earn products all lock the corresponding assets. Bitget's advice here is to cancel pending orders from the trading page, not to open a ticket.
A security change made in the last day
Bitget applies a 24-hour hold after a password reset, a 2FA change or an email or phone update, and a one-hour hold on a login from a new device.
Unusual activity, or a security review
This is the group where a human is involved. Bitget's published route is the Notification Center first, then a ticket with the transaction details attached.
Fraudulent activity or a breach of the terms
Bitget lists policy violations as its own cause of restricted assets, distinct from a security review that has not concluded anything.
Bitget also lists causes that are not about the account at all: a pending withdrawal already in flight, a platform upgrade or maintenance window, a withdrawal below the asset's minimum amount, an invalid address or a missing tag or memo, a limit tied to VIP level, and network or wallet maintenance.
5 things that will make the situation worse
Do not open a ticket before checking the Notification Center
It is the first step in Bitget's own list, and the notice explaining the freeze is usually already in it.
Do not mistake locked assets for frozen ones
Open orders, copy trades, P2P advertisements and Earn products all lock the corresponding crypto. Bitget lists them as causes of an apparently frozen balance.
Do not resubmit verification during the 24-hour approval window
Bitget states approval typically takes 24 hours; a second submission inside that window restarts a queue rather than jumping it.
Do not retry a withdrawal without fixing the address
An invalid address or a missing tag or memo is a separate published cause, and repeating the attempt does not change either.
Do not pay anyone offering to lift a Bitget freeze
Every route Bitget publishes runs through its own Notification Center, its verification flow and its ticket system. None of them involves a payment to a third party.
If you haven't completed identity verification, you must complete KYC to enable withdrawals; if you've submitted your KYC application, withdrawals will remain restricted until it is approved, which typically takes 24 hours.

What to check first on Bitget
Open the Notification Center
It is the first step Bitget lists for a frozen asset, and it is where a security notice would be sitting.
Confirm verification is complete and current
Bitget's second published instruction is to ensure KYC verification is complete and up to date; approval typically takes 24 hours.
Cancel what is holding the balance
Open orders, copy trades, P2P advertisements and Earn products lock the corresponding assets. Bitget points to the trading page for this, not to support.
Then submit a ticket with the details
Bitget asks for the specifics — transaction IDs, error messages, account activity — rather than a general description.
What Bitget may ask you for
Bitget's documentation is more specific about what to put in the ticket than about which identity documents it wants, and the ticket contents are what usually decide how long a case runs.
A completed identity verification
Bitget names incomplete verification as its first cause of restricted assets and states that approval typically takes 24 hours after submission.
Transaction IDs for the activity in question
Bitget asks for specific details — transaction IDs, error messages and account activity — when a ticket is submitted about a freeze.
Answers to further security or compliance questions
Bitget states users should be ready to answer additional security or compliance questions where the reason for a freeze is not obvious.
Evidence for an AML risk-control check
Bitget's P2P risk-control rules ask users who trigger its AML early warnings to cooperate with further verification and to provide risk-control evidence.
The only review timeframe Bitget publishes here is the 24 hours for KYC approval. It does not publish one for a security review, and this page does not invent one.

When was your account blocked?
What we actually do
Subtract the mechanical causes
Four of Bitget's seven are ordinary trading mechanics. Most cases end here without a ticket.

Your account flagged for suspicious activity. Please complete KYC verification.
Place the event on a timeline
A 24-hour security hold, a one-hour new-device hold and a 24-hour KYC approval window all look identical from the withdrawal screen.
Assemble what the ticket needs
Transaction IDs, error messages, the activity in question — the specifics Bitget asks for rather than a description of the problem.

Prepare for the compliance questions
Bitget says to expect additional security or compliance questions. Answering them consistently is the part that is worth preparing.
Say plainly when nothing is wrong
A locked balance behind your own open order is not a restricted account, and we will tell you so rather than take the case.
The decision is always the exchange's. What we control is that your case reaches it complete, correct and on time.
