Your BitTrade account
is blocked?
BitTrade gates deposits and withdrawals on two things: two-factor authentication and completed identity verification, with money moving only between the exchange and a bank account in the same name. Most stuck withdrawals here are one of those, not a review.

What it means
BitTrade requires both two-factor authentication and identity verification to be completed before deposit and withdrawal services can be used.
What BitTrade requires
Both, not either.
Your first step
Check the two separately. An account can have passed identity verification and still be missing the second factor, and the screen looks the same either way.

What BitTrade requires before money moves
These are conditions rather than judgements, which means they can be checked without contacting anyone.
Two-factor authentication is not enabled
BitTrade states that to use its deposit and withdrawal services a customer must have completed two-factor authentication. Without it the services are not available at all.
Identity verification is not complete
The same requirement names identity verification alongside two-factor authentication as a precondition for using deposits and withdrawals.
The bank account is in another name
BitTrade states that Japanese yen withdrawals can only be made to bank accounts under the customer's own name, and that deposits must be made using the account holder's own name.
The verification application came back
Where registration information or documents are incomplete and the individual cannot be verified, BitTrade returns the identity verification application and notifies the customer by email, asking them to reapply.
The withdrawal exceeds the published limits
BitTrade publishes its deposit and withdrawal limits as their own reference, separately from anything to do with account status.
BitTrade is a registered crypto-asset exchange operator in Japan, listed under the Kanto Local Finance Bureau registration number 00007 in its own transaction instructions document. The name-matching and verification requirements follow from operating inside that framework.
5 things that will make the situation worse
Do not deposit from a family member's bank account
BitTrade states deposits must be made using the account holder's own name, and yen withdrawals only go to an account in that name.
Do not resubmit an identical verification application
A returned application means something was incomplete. The email names what, and sending the same package again reproduces the return.
Do not lose the second factor before a withdrawal
Security authentication is required during the withdrawal operation, so an authenticator that has moved device becomes a blocker at exactly the wrong moment.
Do not assume verification alone enables withdrawals
BitTrade names two-factor authentication and identity verification together as the condition for using deposits and withdrawals.
Do not pay anyone to complete verification for you
All three published routes are completed by the account holder, and one of them ends with a postcard delivered to their own registered address.
Japanese yen withdrawals can only be made to bank accounts under the customer's own name, and security authentication is required during the withdrawal operation.

What to check first on BitTrade
Check two-factor authentication and verification separately
Both are required before deposit and withdrawal services can be used, and either one missing produces the same result.
Check the name on the bank account
Yen withdrawals are only permitted to accounts in the customer's own name, and deposits must be made in that name too.
Choose the right identity verification route
BitTrade publishes three methods for individuals, including one that completes online and one that involves receiving a postcard.
Check the published deposit and withdrawal limits
They are documented separately from account status and explain refusals that have nothing to do with verification.
What BitTrade may ask you for
BitTrade offers more than one way to verify, which matters because they take very different amounts of time.
My Number card authentication
One of the three individual verification methods BitTrade publishes.
Simple online identity authentication
The second published route, completed without waiting for post.
Identity authentication by postcard receipt
The third route, which involves receiving a postcard at the registered address before the account is verified.
Complete registration information
Where information or documents are incomplete and the individual cannot be verified, BitTrade returns the application and asks for it to be made again.
A bank account in your own name
Required for both deposits and yen withdrawals.
BitTrade publishes no review timeframe for identity verification. What it publishes instead is the failure mode — an incomplete application is returned by email with a request to reapply — which is the more useful thing to plan around.

When was your account blocked?
What we actually do
Check the two preconditions before anything else
Two-factor authentication and identity verification. Most blocked BitTrade withdrawals end here.

Your account flagged for suspicious activity. Please complete KYC verification.
Compare the names on both sides
The exchange account and the bank account have to match, and how a Japanese name is written matters to that match.
Pick the verification route that will actually complete
Three published methods with very different timelines, and one of them depends on receiving post.

Fix a returned application properly
The email states what was incomplete, and reading it is what makes the second attempt different from the first.
Say when the answer is a bank account
If the destination is not in your name, no amount of correspondence with the exchange changes the outcome.
The decision is always the exchange's. What we control is that your case reaches it complete, correct and on time.
