Your Bybit EU account
is blocked?
Bybit EU is a separate licensed company — Bybit EU GmbH in Vienna, authorised under MiCAR by Austria's Financial Market Authority. If your account was migrated to the European platform, the rules that govern it are that entity's, not the global platform's.

European platform
This account is held on the European platform.
What it means
Bybit EU is operated by a distinct company under an Austrian MiCAR licence, with its own European help centre. Users in eligible EEA countries were onboarded to it from 1 July 2025.
What Bybit EU requires
Checking which platform the account actually sits on before anything else.
Your first step
Look at the address you log in through and the help centre it sends you to. That is what tells you which entity holds the account.

What the European entity changes
The entity, the regulator and the help centre are all different, and each of those has consequences for a restricted account.
A different legal entity holds the account
Bybit EU GmbH is the operating company for the European platform, with its own headquarters in Vienna established as the base for operations throughout the EEA.
A different regulator
The European entity secured a MiCAR licence from Austria's Financial Market Authority, designating it a regulated crypto-asset service provider with passporting rights across the EEA member states.
A migration that moved the account
The full European platform went live on 1 July 2025, and from that date existing users in eligible EEA countries were able to onboard to the licensed European platform.
A verification level that governs the limit
Withdrawal limits on the European platform are subject to verification and account tier, the same structural rule the platform publishes for its users.
Documentation published separately
The European entity runs its own help centre, and an article read on the global platform's site is not necessarily the rule that applies to a European account.
None of this makes a restriction more or less likely. It decides which rulebook, which regulator and which help centre are the right ones to work from — which is the first thing to get right and the easiest to get wrong.
5 things that will make the situation worse
Do not apply the global platform's rules to a European account
Bybit EU is a separate company under a separate regulator with a separate help centre.
Do not assume verification carries across automatically
Onboarding to the licensed European platform is its own process, which is why users were asked to complete it.
Do not treat an unavailable product as a restriction
A MiCAR-licensed entity offers what its authorisation covers, and the boundary is regulatory rather than disciplinary.
Do not escalate on the wrong platform
A ticket opened with the entity that does not hold your account cannot resolve anything about it.
Do not pay anyone to move funds between the two platforms
Migration between entities is a published process run by the exchange itself, not something a third party arranges.
In May 2025 Bybit Europe, operating under Bybit EU GmbH, secured a MiCAR licence from Austria's Financial Market Authority, designating it a regulated crypto-asset service provider with passporting rights across the EEA.

What to check first on Bybit EU
Confirm which entity holds the account
The European platform is operated by a separate licensed company with its own help centre.
Use the European documentation
An article published for the global platform is not necessarily the rule that governs a European account.
Check verification on the platform holding the funds
Limits are subject to verification and tier on the platform where the account actually sits.
Separate an absent service from a restricted one
A licensed entity offers what its authorisation covers, and that boundary is not an account action.
What Bybit EU may ask you for
A MiCAR-licensed entity applies the customer due diligence its authorisation requires, and it does so in its own right rather than by reference to another platform.
Verification on the European platform
Completed on the entity that holds the account, rather than carried across from another platform.
The documents that verification flow asks for
Published in the European entity's own help centre.
Whatever a limit increase requires
Withdrawal limits are subject to verification and account tier.
Nothing, where the cause is a licensing boundary
A service the entity is not authorised to offer is not unlocked by documents.
The European entity publishes no distinct review timeframe for a restricted account in the material reviewed here. What it does publish is the licence, the regulator and the date the platform went live — and on a question of which rules apply, those are the facts that settle it.

The European entity publishes its own, and using it is what makes the answer applicable.
Say when the boundary is a licence
A service an authorisation does not cover is not a case, and we would rather say so than open one.
The decision is always the exchange's. What we control is that your case reaches it complete, correct and on time.
Frequently asked questions
Is Bybit EU the same company as the global platform?
No. The European platform is operated by Bybit EU GmbH, headquartered in Vienna, which secured a MiCAR licence from Austria's Financial Market Authority in May 2025 and passports it across the EEA member states.

When did the European platform start?
The full European platform went live on 1 July 2025, and from that date existing users from eligible EEA countries were able to onboard to the licensed European platform.

Why does the help centre article not match what I see?
Because there are two of them. The European entity publishes its own help centre, and an article written for the global platform does not necessarily describe the rule that governs a European account.
unblock.exchange · today 14:37
Why is my withdrawal limit different on Bybit EU?
Withdrawal limits are subject to verification and account tier on the platform holding the account, so a migrated account can carry a different ceiling from the one it had before.
unblock.exchange · today 14:44
A product I used is missing on Bybit EU. Is my account restricted?
Not necessarily. A licensed entity offers the services its authorisation covers in the states it passports into, so an absent product can be a licensing boundary rather than an action against the account.
